Aristotle said “the aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance”. With vintage gloves as his canvas, artist Sean Kane beautifully captures the significance of some of baseballs greatest players, highlighting some of the best moments in sports history. Kane’s attention to detail and vibrant portraiture stand out brilliantly against the worn and wrinkled leather of the vintage gloves he sources personally. Each painting is researched thoroughly during the design and creation process, with an attention to detail that is truly outstanding.
